Hashtags are a fairly new term and folks in North Iowa are learning how to embrace them through social media. If you are a business owner or social media enthusiast you may be wondering if hashtags are something you should be using.

Hashtags are changing how we communicate through social media. Do you pay attention to the hastags you see scroll across your television screen? This is a new way to market a tv show and it appears to be very successful. Hashtags offer an avenue to change how we all market here in North Iowa. I don’t know about you, but I think it’s exciting when I see events around North Iowa being spread throughout the world wide web with a hashtag attached.
